The world famous “Sunset Strip” is located in the City of West Hollywood and runs along Sunset Boulevard from the boarder of the City of Beverly Hills east to Havenhurst Avenue. The “Sunset Strip” is a major entertainment destination both for regional tourists and international tourists. Each year, more than 5 million people from Southern California and throughout the world visit West Hollywood to shop, dine and have fun at our many popular entertainment spots. The Sunset Business Improvement District was created, in part, to implement programs to benefit the Entertainment District and enhance the quality of life for residents and businesses in the Sunset Strip area.

The Sunset Strip Business Improvement District is now well into its second full year of operation on the world famous Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Members of the Business Improvement District include a variety of businesses in the hotel, restaurant, retail, and nightclub areas that provide financial resources to supply added security and cleaning crews to the 1.2-mile stretch of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood known the world over as the "Sunset Strip".

"The Sunset Strip" will be getting a facelift after more than 75 years of use. The Sunset Boulevard roadway hasn't been repaved since the County of Los Angeles replaced the original dirt road with concrete in the 1930s.
