The City of West Hollywood has made a strong commitment to providing accessible arts and cultural events programming for its residents and visitors. The City formed the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission to identify the arts needs of the community, analyze methods of fulfilling these needs, and promote activities to broaden the opportunities for citizen participation in the arts. Working in conjunction with other City departments, constituents and local nonprofit arts organizations, the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission oversees a number of projects and programs to meet the City's mandate to broaden citizen participation in the arts.

WHAT'S NEW!

One City One Pride 2012
	The City of West Hollywood will once again celebrate LGBT arts and culture with its annual festival throughout the month of June. There are both free and ticketed events featuring theatre, film, music, poetry, spoken word, visual art and more. Visit One City, One Pride to see the full calendar of activities.
Summer Sounds Concert Season
	The City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presents Summer Sounds, a concert series taking place throughout the summer at Kings Road Park and Plummer Park. This year’s line-up of performances is an eclectic mix of contemporary, jazz and world music.

	The City of West Hollywood Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presents Free Shakespeare in the Parks 2012 featuring Classical Theatre Lab’s musical production of Merchant of Venice.
