2008 LA Pride Festival and 38th Annual LA Pride Parade -- June 6 -- 8 produced by Christopher Street West (CSW) - Central to the City's celebration is CSW's fabulous festival and parade over what has become known as Pride Weekend. Beginning Friday June 6 with CSW's support of the WeHo Dyke March and After Party, the Pride Festival continues on Saturday and Sunday at West Hollywood Park, with the popular LA Pride Parade on Sunday, June 8. The parade is expected to gather over 400,000 people and will feature over 125 parade entries including floats, bands, performances, marching community advocacy groups, smiling seniors, proud parents, out teachers and convertibles with honored guests.

The 38th Annual LA Pride Parade -- Sunday, June 8, starting at 11 am, the parade will run west along Santa Monica Blvd. from Crescent Heights Blvd. to Robertson Blvd.

The Lost Plays of Tennessee Williams - Last fall, West Hollywood's own The Actors Studio West workshopped the L.A. premiere of recently discovered one-act plays by the American theater master and gay icon Tennessee Williams. Who's Hungry?-- Los Angeles performance artist Dan Froot has spent the past year working with the homeless population inWest Hollywoodand helping them tell their life stories in the form of book-length oral histories.In this performance, Dan has collaborated with puppet theater artist Dan Hurlin to tell the stories of three of the people he met while working on the food line, including one gay man who has lived at the very heights of the high life and the very depths of the low life.The work will be performed at Great Hall in Plummer Park on Friday, June 13 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, June 14 at 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm.This event is funded in part by a grant through the City of West Hollywood's Arts Grant Program.

The Last Seder -- the Greenway Arts Alliance in collaboration with the Ensemble Studio Theatre -- LA presents the Los Angeles premiere of Jennifer Maisel's play which shows the healing power of the Seder as a family gathers in all its diversity, including a lesbian daughter, her girlfriend and the pregnancy they are anticipating. An Evening with Robert Patrick -- the City of West Hollywood's Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission in collaboration with the Celebration Theatre presents an evening with the noted pioneer of gay theatre, Robert Patrick on Sunday, June 29 at 7 pm.
One of this year's Rainbow Key Award Honorees, Robert Patrick, is credited with writing one of the first Gay plays, The Haunted Host. Out There -- this is a special one-week exhibition by the Los Angeles Art Association at Gallery 825 celebrating the LGBT experience featuring emerging artists from the greater Los Angeles area. This exhibition is funded in part through a City of West Hollywood Arts Grant. An opening night reception will take place on Saturday, June 7, from 6-9 pm, with a special post-Pride Parade event on Sunday, June 8. The exhibit runs through June 13.
