The 25th Anniversary Capital Project consists of three (3) projects each located on a distinct project site within the City's limits. The Project consists of the creation of 800 parking spaces in 4 structures with at least one structure at each project location. Two structures are to be constructed at grade; one built subterranean under an existing surface parking lot and; one plinth structure to be built with parkland atop. Approximately 3.5 acres of new and enhanced green/park space and associated landscaping is created by the development of these projects at the two park locations. 62,400 square feet of new civic and community facilities are created in three buildings including a 3-level, 46,000 square foot Library Building; a single story 18,000 square foot City Hall Community Service Center built on the top level of a parking structure and an approximate 2,300 square foot building to be used as parks and recreation programming space. Additionally, 21,000 square feet of city facilities are planned to be rehabilitated including a building to be rehabilitated for use as performance arts space and the general repair and upgrade of the existing City Hall.
Each of these three projects is at a unique and different phase in the design and/or development process. One of the roles of the selected firm or Consultant will be development of a master schedule allowing for all three projects to break ground in 2009, the 25th anniversary of West Hollywood as an independent City.
