On April 19, 2004, the City Council established the East Side Redevelopment Project Advisory Committee (PAC). The PAC is a 35-member committee representing the east side community. Its purpose is to advise the City Council on general redevelopment goals and direction, large development projects, requests for qualifications and proposals for the East Side Redevelopment Project Area (the area generally bounded by La Brea on the east, Hayworth on the west and the city boundaries on the north and south).
PAC members will be east side residents, business owners, and representatives of community organizations. The PAC also has a small number of openings for members who do not fit these categories but have a demonstrated interest in the east side and have expertise in real estate, architecture, planning, development, or housing.
The PAC will meet quarterly, or more often if necessary.
