Rent Stabilization and Housing

The Department of Rent Stabilization and Housing develops housing programs and policies for the City in order to promote a strong and vibrant residential community, with particular emphasis on Community Development Block Grant-funded programs, residential code compliance, and East Side Redevelopment. The Department includes Administration, Rent Information and Records, and Housing Divisions. Our goal is the preservation of existing affordable housing, fair regulation of rental housing, the creation of new market-rate and affordable housing.

Our Director of Rent Stabilization and Housing is Allyne Winderman.
