Engineering

The Engineering Division provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of everyone who live and work in City of West Hollywood. Primarily, the division is responsible for the administration, planning, maintenance, construction management and technical engineering of the City's infrastructure. The Engineering Division provides preliminary engineering, design engineering, construction inspection and management services for the City's public works projects. It also includes oversees the maintenance of the City's streets, sewers, and coordinates with utility companies that serve our residents.

The Engineering Division is responsible for the Capital Improvement Program, development review, sanitation, traffic and roadway lighting in the City. They review plans, inspect drainage, and evaluate roadway infrastructure for all new and redeveloped properties. The Engineering staff works closely with other regional agencies to ensure the coordination of infrastructure and ongoing capital funding. All permits pertaining to public right-of-way are obtained through the Engineering Division. The Department offers the services listed below.
