The City is dedicated to the creation and maintenance of safe, clean and affordable housing for the residents of West Hollywood. The City has implemented innovative measures to accomplish this goal by creating and maintaining the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, the Inclusionary Housing Program, and the Homes & Gardens Program. The City continues to find new ways to serve its low and moderate-income residents. On November 29, 2001, West Hollywood held the Affordable Housing Summit for Elected Officials. Representatives from the City of West Hollywood, the County of Los Angeles, the State of California, Federal Government Agencies and major banks attended to provide input and exchange ideas on new ways to provide housing that will serve the need of West Hollywood's resident. The City also advocates at the State and Federal levels to pass new and maintain current legislation to increase the supply of affordable housing.
