Celebrating New Works: Hypocrites & Strippers

Hypocrites & Strippers by Kim Yaged is a hilarious one-woman show about selling sex and selling out.

Kim Yaged is an award-wining writer with a background in theater, television and film. She received the Kennedy Center’s Meritorious Achievement Award for her play America. America also won the Audience Award at Downtown Urban Theater Festival and was part of House Special at ODC Theater. Kim's chamber opera was showcased by the New York City Opera and performed at the University of Michigan, where it was honored with four Ann Arbor News “Best of” Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Production. Kim has been published by Random House, Applause, Ballantine Books, and Cleis Press.

Celebration Theatre, LA's oldest LGBTQIAA theatre company, presents new LGBTQ works with the support of the City of West Hollywood's Arts Division ( This event is free to attend, although donations are gratefully accepted.
