Bird Circuit 90069 Exhibition Reception

The City of West Hollywood presents Bird Circuit 90069, original artworks by Vojislav Radovanović that merge myth, queer history, and personal narrative. The title draws from the mid-20th‑century practice of LGBTQ+ venues using coded “bird circuit” names—pairing a color and a bird—to discreetly signal LGBTQ+ friendly venues during periods of persecution. Honoring these historic bars, Radovanović transforms these hidden sanctuaries into dreamlike images where birds symbolize freedom and identity. A free reception will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 7-9pm.

On view during regular library hours through late January 2027. 

Doors open and event begins at 6:00pm
