On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, community members throughout the City of West Hollywood will gather on neighborhood streets in a show of unity against crime as the City of West Hollywood once again celebrates National Night Out.

Events such as block parties, barbecues, live entertainment, and more will take place throughout the City during the evening. Attendance is free. There will be limited street closures during National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. A list of events, times, and locations has been updated on the City of West Hollywood’s website at www.weho.org/nno, which includes:

• West Hollywood West Resident Association — from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the cul-de-sac at Sherbourne Drive and Ashcroft Avenue

• West Hollywood Heights Neighborhood Association — from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Horn Plaza, located at 1230 Horn Avenue

• Cynthia-Sunset Neighborhood Watch — from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Hammond Street between Vista Grande Street and Cynthia Street

• WeHo East Neighborhood Watch — from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Gardner Street between Lexington Avenue and Fountain Avenue

• Tri-West Neighborhood Watch — from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Rugby Drive between Westbourne Drive and Westmount Drive

• Owls Neighborhood Watch — from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 1133/1132 N. Ogden Drive between Santa Monica Boulevard and Fountain Avenue

• West Hollywood Gateway — from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 7100 Santa Monica Boulevard

• City of West Hollywood Recreation Services Division Movies in the Park — from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard

• West Hollywood Russian-Speaking Advisory Board Block Party — from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard

This year marks the 41^st Annual National Night Out (NNO), which began in 1984 as an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, law enforcement, community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie – and to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized against crime.

Nationwide, more than 35 million people in neighborhoods across the country gather outdoors to celebrate their unity and their successes in the fight against crime. Celebrating National Night Out has been a tradition in West Hollywood since the City’s incorporation.

National Night Out 2024 participants include members of the West Hollywood City Council, Neighborhood Watch groups, the West Hollywood Gateway, and the City of West Hollywood’s Public Safety Commission and Russian-Speaking Advisory Board, as well as the City’s Recreation Services Division. Events will be held in coordination with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and the City of West Hollywood.
