City of West Hollywood is Getting the Word Out About 3-Month Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Water Main Replacement Project on La Cienega

LADWP Water Main Replacement 2024The City of West Hollywood is getting the word out about a local Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) Water Main Replacement Project. LADWP is anticipated to replace 1,300 feet of water main on N. La Cienega Boulevard between Fountain Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. The LADWP project is expected to commence during the week of November 4, 2024 and is expected to be completed in approximately three months.

LADWP will begin water main replacement at Santa Monica Boulevard and progress north as the project progresses. LADWP will work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No work will take place on weekends or holidays. Parking will be restricted while work is in progress; LADWP will post temporary No Parking signs with notification of the date and time of construction. Vehicles parked on the street during work hours may be subject to tow.

There are electronic variable message boards in the following locations, which have been placed to communicate with the community in advance of the project start date: westbound Santa Monica Boulevard, west of N. Hayworth Avenue; eastbound Santa Monica Boulevard, west of N. Robertson Boulevard; northbound N. La Cienega Boulevard, south of Melrose Avenue; westbound Fountain Avenue, east of N. Hayworth Avenue; eastbound Sunset Boulevard, east of Hilldale Avenue; westbound Sunset Boulevard, west of Roxbury Road.
