Post Date:November 26, 2024 6:44 PM

Small Business Workshop 2024The City of West Hollywood is joining with the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), as well as the office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, Third District, to host a Small Business Certification and Procurement Workshop on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 6 p.m. at West Hollywood City Hall, located at 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard. The workshop is free to attend and RSVPs are requested in advance by workshop organizers via Google Form.

During the next few years, Los Angeles County is gearing up to host several major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup 26, Super Bowl LXI in 2027, and the LA 2028 Summer Olympics. These events, among others, will stimulate significant economic activity in the region and in the City of West Hollywood, which will lead to increased demand for goods and services.

This Small Business Certification and Procurement Workshop will be an opportunity to learn about registering businesses with the City of West Hollywood, City of Los Angeles, and Los Angeles County to take advantage of procurement opportunities coming with the region’s major sporting events.

Workshop participants can become a registered vendor for Los Angeles County and learn more about the County procurement process. Attendees will also be provided 1-on-1 assistance on how to apply for a City of West Hollywood business tax certificate, business license, and can also register for the City’s PlanetBids portal as well as the LA County Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP) to be informed about upcoming opportunities.
