A special celebratory City of West Hollywood Winter Sounds Free Outdoor Concert will take place on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Pendry West Hollywood, located at 8430 Sunset Boulevard. Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. Early arrival is suggested. The concert is free and open to all ages to attend. Seating is limited to availability. Validated valet parking ($15) at the Pendry is available for attendees. Metered street parking may also be available; read local street signage for parking regulation details. In celebration of the City of West Hollywood’s 40^th Anniversary, the Corbin Jones Big Band (CJBB) will perform a 90-minute “Holiday Extravaganza” set of funky, emotional, and swingin’ renditions of favorite holiday classics. The 22-piece ensemble features Grammy award-winning, nominated, and emerging artists alike. Get ready for fun and truly magical moments, as the CJBB lets the audience in on feeling the love.

Arranger and multi-instrumentalist Corbin Jones has credits with such artists as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Lizzo. Notable performances include shows at Coachella, Newport Jazz Festival, and at Jazz @ Lincoln Center. A graduate of USC Thornton School’s Jazz Studies program, Jones’s love of groove has led him to a career on double bass, bass guitar, synth bass, sousaphone, and baritone saxophone. His own group, the Corbin Jones Big Band, specializes in humorous, fantastical, and feel-good remixes of Jazz and R&B classics.
