City of West Hollywood’s West Hollywood Park to Transform Into a Wintery Wonderland with Ice Rink in January

The Polar Plunge event will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (It was postponed due to heavy rains on January 26.) 

The City of West Hollywood postponed the opening of the Ice Rink at West Hollywood Park, due to regional fires. The City will open the Ice Rink at West Hollywood Park on Wednesday, January 15 through Sunday, January 26.

The City of West Hollywood will host its inaugural family-friendly Ice Rink for skating at West Hollywood Park on the Great Lawn, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard daily from Wednesday, January 15, 2025 (updated date) through Sunday, January 26, 2025. Ice skaters are invited to break out their best figure-skating arabesque/camel spin/Biellmann spin/spiral (or just work on staying on their feet!) and book a 90-minute ice-skating session:

·      Mondays* through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.;

·      Fridays from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and

·      Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

*Monday, January 20, 2025 MLK Day Holiday Hours: 12:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The cost per session is $15 for ages 3-14 and $20 for ages 15 and older. The price per session includes skate rental. But that’s not all! Come for the skating, and stay for Winter Village in the park, featuring skate viewing areas, photo opportunities, and a charming general store. West Hollywood Park will transform into a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with fun-filled activities, creative crafts, music, games, hot chocolate, and festive treats! Come experience holiday joy and merriment at West Hollywood Park’s South Lawn, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. Free. No RSVP required.

Close-out January with a winter-themed, Polar Plunge Pool Party for all ages on Sunday, January 26, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. All pool activities will take place in the heated recreational pool. If you would like to get into the pool, please bring a swimsuit and towel. Children not yet potty-trained must wear a swim diaper. Children under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. Activities outside of the pool will include games, giveaways, arts-and-crafts, hot cocoa, and apple cider. The Polar Plunge Pool Party will take place at the West Hollywood Aquatic and Recreation Center, 5th floor, located at 8750 El Tovar Place, adjacent to the West Hollywood Library.
