The City of West Hollywood periodically conducts a review of funding priorities of the City’s Human Services Division. As an initial activity of the City’s social services funding process for 2025 to 2028, the City is seeking feedback from community members about its social services funding priorities.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., the City of West Hollywood’s Human Services Commission will include a Public Hearing on Social Services funding priorities. This meeting will take place at the City of West Hollywood’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard. Validated parking will be available in the adjacent West Hollywood Park 5-Story garage on a first-come, first-served basis. Community members are invited to provide public comment to offer input and feedback about unmet social services needs and suggestions for future programming. Members of the public who wish to comment by telephone are required to register to speak via Zoom by sending an email to HSCPublicComment@weho.org no later than 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 to be added to the remote public speaker list. The Human Services Commission meeting will be live-broadcast and streamed. The Human Services Commission was created in 1985 and is comprised of five members appointed by individual City Councilmembers and two members appointed at-large by the West Hollywood City Council. The Commission: Makes recommendations on priorities for development of the City’s efforts in Human Services, including leisure programs, social services programs, human rights, and older adults affairs; Assists the West Hollywood City Council and Department of Human Services and Rent Stabilization in identifying and determining the human service needs of the City; cooperates with other agencies in assessing these needs and identifying service gaps; and promotes citizen participation in the decision-making process and brings the government process closer to the residents of the City regarding human services programming.
