WeHo PickUp and Cityline are Hooking Up for Pride Weekend
Cityline is West Hollywood’s free daytime shuttle service; The PickUp is West Hollywood’s free nighttime trolley ride. In celebration of the 2015 LA Pride Celebration in West Hollywood on June 12, 13, and 14, the shuttle and trolley services will get together and become “Pride Ride” for the weekend.
Pride Ride will offer a safe and convenient way to reach a destination in the City of West Hollywood during Pride Weekend. Pride Ride will run on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 3 a.m.; on Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.; and on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5 p.m to 2 a.m. On Friday and Saturday, Pride Ride will feature Cityline vehicles before 8 p.m. and PickUp trolleys after 8 p.m. — on Sunday Pride Ride will feature PickUp trolleys. Pride Ride will follow a continuous loop along Santa Monica Boulevard between Robertson Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, with 15 stops in each direction. Vehicles will arrive approximately every 15 minutes. Music will thump to beat mixes by DJ Derek Monteiro.

On Friday, June 12, 2015, the WeHo Dyke March & Lavender Menace Celebration of Women will take place at West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. A social hour and presentations will begin at 6 p.m. and the Dyke March will begin at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, June 13, 2015 and Sunday, June 14, 2015, the 2015 LA Pride Celebration and Festival in West Hollywood will take place at West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard — on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.; and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
On Sunday, June 14, 2015, the annual Pride Parade will take place. It steps-off at 11 a.m. from the intersection of Santa Monica and Crescent Heights Boulevards and travels westbound along Santa Monica Boulevard just past the main entrance of the Pride Festival at San Vicente Boulevard, ending at Robertson Boulevard.
Pride Ride organizers remind people who are driving from other parts of Los Angeles that there are several Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) bus lines that connect to the City of West Hollywood, including: 105, 705, 4, 704, 217, 218, and 312. For drivers who wish to “Park and Pride Ride” there will be paid public parking available in lots such as the Hancock Parking Structure at 901 Hancock Avenue, and the Kings Road Municipal Parking Structure, located at 8383 Santa Monica Boulevard, which are both on the Pride Ride route.
This year, in celebration of West Hollywood’s 30th anniversary of Cityhood, the One City One Pride arts festival looks at what it means to turn 30 with the theme WeHo@30, Life@30. For additional information about One City One Pride arts festival events throughout June, visit www.weho.org/pride
In addition, the following Metro bus lines provide direct service to the festival: 4, 10, 30/330, 105, 217, 218, 704 or 705. Metro will also be rerouting several bus lines due to event street closures. Please check their service advisory page for up to date details.
