City to Host ‘NextGen’ Event at WeWork to Engage a New Generation of Local Leaders

Post Date:November 10, 2018 11:00 AM

Next GenThe City of West Hollywood, in an effort to engage and empower a new generation of people, will host NextGen: Giving You the Business, in partnership with InnovateLA. The event aims to connect local business owners and professionals with those looking to become part of West Hollywood’s vibrant business community. The “NextGen” is passionate about a myriad of issues, yet this age group is disproportionately underrepresented at all levels of civic engagement.

The upcoming NextGen event will take place on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the WeWork space in the Pacific Design Center Red Building, located at 750 N. San Vicente Boulevard. Refreshments will be served.

A panel discussion will feature local business owners and professionals, who will share their experiences and insights about the City of West Hollywood’s business community and tips for working within the city. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. to mix and mingle and participants will be invited to stay for additional networking after the panel discussion ends at 8 p.m.

“West Hollywood is a creative hub, with a culture of imagination and innovation,” said Councilmember Lindsey P. Horvath. “Many of our NextGen community members are well-poised to start businesses here, but may not know where to begin. I’m committed to helping connect the NextGen to resources and information so they can thrive as new business owners in the City of West Hollywood. This event will facilitate impactful conversations and connections.”

The NextGen event is designed as a starting point for NextGen attendees who would like to get involved with civic life, and particularly people who are interested in being involved in the evolution of government programs and services in West Hollywood over the coming decades. The event is aimed at NextGen community members, but is open to everyone. Attendance at the NextGen event is free, but RSVPs are requested. To RSVP, please visit
