City is Getting the Word Out about Open Enrollment Period for Covered California
The City of West Hollywood is getting the word out about the open enrollment period for Covered California, which runs through Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
Covered California is the State of California’s health insurance marketplace, where individuals, families, and small businesses can obtain health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). It is the only place to get premium assistance to help buy health insurance from a variety of insurance companies. That means an individual may qualify for a discount on a health plan through Covered California, or get health insurance through the state’s Medi-Cal program.
The City of West Hollywood is committed to engaging and educating community members about the importance of healthcare coverage. The City of West Hollywood’s Social Services Division works to connect community members in West Hollywood with certified enrollers at APLA Health, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and Saban Community Clinic. Certified Enrollers work at agencies throughout California to assist individuals in applying for insurance through Covered California.
