City Partners with Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk to Provide Vote-by-Mail Ballot Drop-Box at West Hollywood City Hall

Post Date:February 12, 2020 11:26 AM

Ballot Drop BoxThe City of West Hollywood is getting the word out that the March 2020 Presidential Primary Election is coming up and is encouraging all eligible residents to vote. The election will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

The City of West Hollywood partners with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office to provide a convenient way for residents and visitors to drop off Vote-by-Mail ballots. Anyone who is registered to vote in Los Angeles County can conveniently use a Vote-by-Mail Ballot Drop Box at West Hollywood City Hall, located at 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard. A locked drop box is housed at the City Clerk’s Office window adjacent to the cashier’s window in the City Hall lobby area and is available during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed weekends). This Vote-by-Mail Ballot Drop Box will be available through (and including) Election Day on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

This year, Los Angeles County is transitioning from polling places to Vote Centers. This new model will allow voters to cast a ballot at any Vote Center location in the County over an 11-day period beginning on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Vote Centers look and feel like polling places but provide additional modern features to make voting easy and convenient. For more information on new Vote Center elections, please visit https://lavote.net/home/voting-elections/voting-options/new-voting-experience/.

  2. Visit the California Secretary of State’s at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov or register online at https://registertovote.ca.gov.

The deadline to register or re-register to vote for the March 3, 2020 Election is February 18, 2020.  People with special circumstances, such as becoming a citizen between the deadline and the election, can register to vote up to Election Day, through the Registrar-Recorder’s office. For more information, please call (800) 815-2666.
