Maribel Louie is the Director of Economic Development for the City of West Hollywood. She has professional experience in urban planning, policy advocacy, organizational management and strategic planning in both the non-profit and government sectors.
In her current role, she oversees the Arts, Business Development, Event & Film Services, and Innovation Divisions which collaborate to make West Hollywood an appealing location for business development, the arts and creatives.
Maribel serves as the City’s liaison to the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Visit West Hollywood and the City’s business improvement districts (West Hollywood Design District; Sunset Strip BID) which support the City’s hospitality, nightlife, entertainment and creative industries. She also serves as the City’s liaison to the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Occidental College and an Master’s degree in Urban Planning from New York University Wagner School of Public Affairs.
