Beginning March 2020, the Building and Safety Division will only be accepting electronic submittals. For more information on the City’s Electronic Plan Check Program please visit the City’s Building and Safety Online Services and WeHo e-Plan Check Program webpage.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Please note, incomplete submittals and files not complying to the City’s Residential Post Entitlement Plan Check Submittal guidelines will delay your project review.

1. Verify that you have a complete plan check package to submit (refer to the City's "Residential Post Entitlement Plan Check Submittal Checklist")

2. Email completed permit application(s) and post entitlement submittal package to building@weho.org. Please refer to the City’s “Residential Post Entitlement Plan Check Submittal Checklist” for submittal requirements.

*Please note, if your submittal packages is over 25MB you will be required to upload your plans to a cloud based drive (i.e. OneDrive, DropBox, Google Drive, etc.) along with all applicable documents (i.e. structural calculations, soils report, specifications, etc.) and provide a link to your files via email to building@weho.org. When sharing a link to the uploaded files please make sure to include the permit number and address associated with the project in the email subject line.

3. Prescreening of submittal documents will be performed by City staff to ensure that a complete submittal package has been received. Please allow fifteen (15) business days from the day you submitted your application to building@weho.org for staff to review your application. If there are any questions or missing items from your application, you will receive written notification from the City with a list of incomplete items and a description of how the application can be made complete and how to resubmit.

4. Once your application has been deemed complete your plan check will be routed to the appropriate parties for review.
