If you are planning a move to or from a residential property in West Hollywood you must obtain a “Residential Moving & Large Vehicle” permit if you anticipate using a parking space on the street for loading or unloading. The permit entitles you to reserve a parking space for a vehicle on the street on moving day. A permit is not required for the moving van if it will be parked on private property such as a driveway or parking lot. 

Permits will only be issued for one (1) day between the hours of 8am to 5pm.

In order to reserve a parking space on moving day, the permit must be processed four (4) working days prior to the move date. Parking Enforcement will post and verify NO PARKING SIGNS that are issued within the four (4) working day period. However, if the permit is obtained less than four (4) working days prior to the move date the signs will not be enforceable.

Permits shall not be issued to place storage containers or pods in the public right-of-way.

Moving van parking is subject to approval to ensure there are no conflicts with traffic or construction work being done at neighboring properties and/or sidewalks and streets.

Applicants are required to apply in-person during normal business hours and pay a $10 fee for the permit.
