You may have received a letter from the Office of Finance for the City of Los Angeles stating that your business does not have a City of Los Angeles Tax Registration Certificate and that you may owe business taxes in the City of Los Angeles. Please be advised that West Hollywood businesses that do not do business within the City of Los Angeles are not required to have a City of Los Angeles Tax Registration Certificate nor are such businesses required to pay taxes to the City of Los Angeles. If you have received a letter stating that you may owe business taxes and you do not conduct business within the City of Los Angeles, you should notify the Office of Finance for the City of Los Angeles that they have sent you the letter in error.
