Bicycling in West Hollywood
The City of West Hollywood's Bicycle & Pedestrian Mobility Plan evaluates and recommends improvements to the City’s existing bicycle network and facilities based on current best practices, emerging and innovative design strategies, and community input.

In 2011, the City worked closely with an 18-member stakeholder group to develop recommendations for safer and more accessible bicycling in West Hollywood. The 2011 Bicycle Task Force Report outlines the stakeholder recommendations, which was studied in greater detail as part of the Bicycle & Pedestrian Mobility Plan Update.

Bicycle News: The City of West Hollywood is in the process of installing bike sharrows along designated bicycle routes. These markings are intended to increase awareness and improve safety for bicyclists and drivers who share this space along the road. The City will be looking at other design measures to increase bicycle safety in the coming months.

Request a Bike Rack: The City of West Hollywood is the process of installing bicycle racks along the public right of way in areas of need. If you would like to request a bicycle rack in front of your business, please email Coby Wagman at cwagman@weho.org with your name, the location of the proposed bicycle rack, and brief description of why you think this is an appropriate location.

You may also make a request for a bicycle rack through the City's Service Request Portal by first selecting the Parking tab and then selecting Parking Services - Bike Rack Request.

Rules of the Road: Bicyclists must obey all local and state laws. Click here for a summary of regulations related to bicycling.
