SUnset pilot

What is this project?

The City tested out ideas on how to improve the vibrancy and pedestrian experience on the Sunset Strip! During the first half of 2019 a variety of pilot projects were installed and evaluated along Sunset Boulevard.

Click here for additional information on each pilot project.

What is next?

After the testing and evaluation phase, the City elected to make certain aspects of the pilot permanent, such as the majority of the curb extensions and new street furniture, and has removed other aspects, such as the parklet in front of Book Soup and the light pole wraps.
