CORONAVIRUS UPDATE RE: CODE COMPLIANCE OPERATIONS & RESPONSE TO RESIDENT REQUESTS
During this unprecedented Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Code Compliance Division will be continuing to respond to service requests from the community with the following schedule:
City Hall is closed to the public and administrative staff in the Division are working remotely from home so no live person is available to take your call or assist you at the public counter. However, Code Compliance staff will follow-up with you by phone if you provide your contact information.
The most effective way to report your concern/issue/question is by submitting an online service request through the City’s official app by clicking this link: https://www.weho.org/services/services/service-requests
These requests will be forwarded to all staff working during the days and hours mentioned above and you will receive a follow-up within 24 hours. You may also contact us by calling our report line at (323) 848-6516 and leaving a voicemail. That voicemail will be forwarded to any staff member working that shift and they will follow-up with you on your concern. Please leave your contact information, location of the property where the issue is occurring, and the alleged violation in your voicemail. If you have any questions, please contact Danny Rivas, Code Compliance Manager, at (323) 848-6424.

Code Compliance provides comprehensive oversight of residential and commercial properties in order to protect and enhance public health and safety, and maintain the City's municipal code standards. By means of information, education, and the administrative remedy program, Code Compliance addresses the following types of issues (this is not an exhaustive list):
- business license
- solid waste
- property maintenance
