🚔 West Hollywood Parking Enforcement
What We Enforce (and Why)
- Protect residential streets so residents can find parking near their homes.
- Support local businesses by keeping spaces available for customers.
- Maintain the safe, smooth flow of traffic for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Our primary goal is to help everyone park correctly. The best way to avoid a citation is to review West Hollywood’s key parking rules. While parking availability isn’t guaranteed, we’re here to support the community and provide the best experience possible.

If Your Vehicle Has Been Towed
Vehicles towed under the authority of West Hollywood Parking Enforcement may be claimed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Hollywood Tow Service, 1015 N. Mansfield Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038. (323) 466-5421.
Contesting a Vehicle Impound
If you dispute that the officer who towed your car had reasonable cause to do so, you may request a hearing within 10 days after the date the Notice of Stored Vehicle was deposited in the U.S. Mail (CVC 22852). To request a hearing, contact the West Hollywood Parking Enforcement Office at (323) 650-6757 or office@wehoparkingenforcement.org.
Setting a Date for the Hearing
If the vehicle remains impounded when you request the hearing, you have the right to a hearing within 48 hours of your request. Times are scheduled based on the availability of a hearing examiner, a conference room, and the officer who impounded your vehicle (if you request the officer’s appearance). City staff will notify you of the time and date.
After the Hearing
The hearing examiner does not issue a decision at the hearing. A written decision will be mailed to you. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may file a claim with the City Clerk. Questions? Call the City Clerk’s Office at (323) 848-6409.

Disabled Parking
With a properly displayed disabled placard or plate (including one issued by another state or country), and when transporting the placard holder, you may park in:
- Blue zones
- General metered parking without paying
- Green zones
- Residential Permit Parking areas
- Areas with posted time limits
Placards do not allow parking in:
- No-parking / no-stopping red zones
- During street-cleaning hours
- During posted commercial loading hours (yellow curb / yellow or red meters)
- During posted passenger loading hours (white curb)
- During posted tow-away no-stopping hours
- For more than 72 hours in any space
A disabled placard does not exempt the vehicle from other citation or tow-away rules.
Disabled Placard Audits
To improve accessibility and reduce fraud, the City enforces State rules requiring individuals to carry the DMV identification card issued with their disabled placard.
Drivers may be approached by Parking Enforcement or DMV officials to validate a placard. Failure to present the DMV ID may result in placard confiscation and a $500 citation for misuse. Motorists cited for misuse who present the correct DMV ID to the Parking Enforcement office within 21 days may retrieve the placard and have the penalty reduced to a $25 administrative fee. If a citation is not contested, the registered owner remains liable for the original fine and the placard may be reported as fraudulent.
