Volunteering is an easy way to improve the quality of life in your community. Below is information about various volunteer opportunities in the community through the City of West Hollywood’s partners. Note: This list is for informational use only. The City makes no guarantee for placement, representations or warranties of any kind, including content, quality or accuracy. Please contact the organization directly for more information.

  • APLA HEALTH
    APLA Health provides case management, nutrition, tax assistance, insurance and benefits advocacy for people living with HIV/AIDS. APLA Health & Wellness provides behavioral health services such as psychotherapy, group support, and case management; as well as dental services for West Hollywood community members, regardless of HIV status.
  • ASCENCIA
    Ascencia provides comprehensive services for adults who are homeless including street outreach, case management, shelter and housing
  • BEING ALIVE
    Being Alive provides educational peer support, peer counseling, mental health services, wellness center programming and social events for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
  • BET TZEDEK LEGAL SERVICES
    Bet Tzedek provides legal services for community members, with particular emphasis on benefits advocacy, landlord/tenant issues, advocacy for transgender individuals, and Holocaust survivor services.
  • DISABILITY COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER
    Disability Community Resource Center assists disabled adults to achieve and maintain independence in their homes and community-based housing.
  • JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE (JFS)
    Programs include those funded by the City of West Hollywood:
    • West Hollywood Comprehensive Services (social services and activity programming for Seniors and people living with disabilities)
    • Nutrition Program (congregate meals for seniors and persons with disabilities at four sites in West Hollywood, and home-delivered meals for seniors and persons living with disabilities)
    • JFS/SOVA Community Food & Resource Program (free groceries for community members)
  • JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICES/WEHO WORKS
    WeHo Works provides employment services for the West Hollywood community, including job development and job placement, referrals, job skills programs, and employment opportunities at West Hollywood businesses.
  • LA LGBT CENTER
    City funded programs are in the areas of health and mental health services, transgender economic empowerment, WeHo Life (HIV prevention/education/outreach) and youth services.
  • NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN
    Community Mental Health and Supportive Services provides individual and group counseling, psycho-educational classes and a community psychiatric resource program. Rental assistance for West Hollywood residents at risk of losing their housing is also provided.
  • PAWS/LA
    PAWS/LA assists low-income seniors and persons with chronic illness keep and care for their companion animals.
  • PLANNED PARENTHOOD
    Planned Parenthood provides family planning and reproductive health care services, and HIV and STI testing and treatment, including PrEP and PEP.
  • PROJECT ANGEL FOOD
    Project Angel Food provides home delivered meals for people living with critical or life-threatening illness.
  • SABAN COMMUNITY CLINIC
    Saban Community Clinic provides general health and medical services, HIV testing, dental services, and mental health services to uninsured and underinsured persons.
  • STEP UP ON SECOND
    Step Up on Second provides outreach and street-based services to homeless community members who have mental illnesses. 
  • TARZANA TREATMENT CENTERS, INC.
    Tarzana Treatment Center provides inpatient medical detoxification services and inpatient substance abuse treatment services.
