Federal and state laws and regulations provide limited regulation by the City of cable television services that use the public rights of way. In general, the City can make sure that the cable company follows general customer service standards. And, even in situations where the City cannot directly regulate, the City can often assist residents with issues involving cable television service.

Please note that under current federal law, the City has no regulatory or franchise authority with regard to internet service, even if it is provided through the same cable system.

Call us at (323) 848-6536 for information or assistance regarding cable television service.
