Artists Roundtable
May 8, 2026, 10am-1pm, Doheny Room, Aquatic & Recreation Center (West Hollywood Park) - All About the Money
Money influences both artistic careers and the projects artists create. This second of five WeHo Artist Roundtable Workshops explores the financial structures supporting creative life, addressing both personal finances and the funding of artistic work. The workshop opens with a seminar-style presentation, providing an overview of personal finance tracking and tools that support creative workers in managing income, expenses, and the realities of freelance financial life. The second half of the workshop focuses on project-based funding, offering guidance on how artists structure budgets, identify potential funding sources, and think strategically about the financial design of their work.
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of both personal and project level financial strategies that support artistic practice, along with examples of the many financial pathways artists have used to sustain their work and a virtual folder of resources for further education!
To sign up, RSVP here: RSVP here for May 8.
May 22, 2026, 10am-1pm, Greenway Theatre – Collaborations + Partnerships
Focuses on how artists initiate and sustain working relationships. Through a panel, Q&A, breakout groups, and structured “speed dating,” participants will explore outreach, alignment, agreements, and navigating multi-partner dynamics, leaving with stronger tools for collaborative decision-making.

August 21, 2026, 10am-1pm, Great Hall, Plummer Park – Live Pitch Session
September 18, 2026, 10am-1pm, Great Hall, Plummer Park – Professional Practice Lab
The WeHo Artist Roundtable is a yearlong professional development series hosted by the City of West Hollywood’s Arts Division. The program brings together individual artists, creative workers, arts organizations, and community members for shared learning, conversation, and skill-building. Across five sessions held throughout the year, the Roundtable offers a structured yet flexible curriculum focused on core aspects of artistic practice and sustainability. Each topic reflects a key condition that supports artists in sustaining creative lives, from how work is communicated to how resources, relationships, and opportunities are navigated.
Sessions include Writing About Your Work, All About the Money, Collaborations + Partnerships, a Live Pitch Session, and a culminating Professional Practice Lab. While the sessions are designed as a cohesive arc, participants are welcome to attend individual workshops based on interest or availability. Each session stands on its own and offers practical takeaways; ongoing participation supporting deeper relationships and momentum over the course of the year.
The WeHo Artist Roundtable is a direct outcome of WeHo Arts: The Plan, the City’s community-based cultural plan. Participation is free, and artists do not need to be residents of West Hollywood to attend.
