Gengis Don is a dynamic force in today’s music scene, known for his innovative approach as a drummer, producer, songwriter, and engineer. A Brooklyn native, Gengis Don’s sound is a reflection of his deep roots in hip-hop combined with his extensive study of jazz and improvisational music. His versatility and talent have led him to work with a diverse array of artists, including Solange, Bilal, ASAP Ferg, Klein, Melanie Charles, Anna Wise, Mavi, Braxton Cook, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Marquis Hill, Christopher McBride, Pink Siifu, and many others.

Regretfully, Chien Chien Lu will no longer be performing at Winter Sounds. Keyon Harrold will now be performing.
Keyon Harrold is a visionary trumpeter, vocalist, composer, producer, and activist pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz. Signed to Concord Jazz, his illustrious career spans collaborations with icons like Jay-Z, Robert Glasper, Maxwell, YEBBA, and Common. Formerly signed by legendary rapper Nas, Harrold has toured with Cirque Du Soleil and now serves as the Artistic Advisor for Jazz St. Louis. His latest album, Foreverland, is nominated for this year’s GRAMMY for Best Alternative Jazz Album. DownBeat Magazine praises him as “the future of the trumpet.”

Saxophonist Danny Janklow is an influential voice in contemporary music, blending the language of jazz with elements of R&B, funk, and indie soul. His performances are deeply personal, rooted in themes of equality, justice, and love. In 2021, Danny earned a Grammy Award for his contribution to MONK’estra Plays John Beasley and has collaborated on notable hip-hop tracks such as JID's Hereditary and EarthGang's Cocktails. A versatile artist, Danny has shared the stage with legendary icons like Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock, cementing his place as a dynamic force in modern music.

Event Information:
All concerts are FREE, on Saturdays at 7:00PM - 8:30PM. Doors at 6PM. Must be 21 and older to attend. Early arrival is strongly suggested.
Location: The Sun Rose, 8430 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, one block east of La Cienga Blvd., at Olive Dr. - Across the street from The Comedy Store. Enter the venue from the street level on Sunset Blvd.
Admittance: RSVP does not guarantee entry once the venue hits capacity.
Seating: First come, first serve, limited to availability. Priority seating for older adults until 6:45PM. ADA and older adult seating available. Please email in advance: thesunrose@pendry.com
Parking: Rideshare is suggested. Street parking may also be available. $15 special discounted rate parking for attendees.
Seasonal/Respiratory Illness Guidelines: Face masks are encouraged.
